Equinox Brings High-performance Design To Palm Beach

Equinox has opened in West Palm Beach, its first club in Palm Beach County and sixth in South Florida, spanning nearly 35,000 square feet across the second and third floors of The Laurel at CityPlace.

The club carries the brand’s full range: strength and cardio floors, yoga, barre, cycling and high-intensity studios, alongside locker rooms fitted with rain showers, eucalyptus steam rooms and dedicated recovery areas.

Interiors by Studio Munge lean into restraint rather than spectacle, curved ceilings, linear uplighting, textured glass behind reception through which members appear in silhouette as they move through the club. Nadia Biski, Equinox’s senior vice president of architecture and planning, frames the intent plainly: the club exists first as a members’ space focused on fitness and longevity, with performance built in around it.

Its position matters as much as its programme. CityPlace now counts Eataly and Alo Yoga among its tenants, and the club sits within walking distance of the Brightline station and Clematis Street, placing Equinox at the centre of a district being rebuilt around wellness rather than simply hosting it.

That integration runs deeper than the club itself. The nearby Shorecrest tower will build in Equinox-curated amenities, a private contrast therapy suite, rooftop lap pool, cold plunge, steam room, and sauna, with residents receiving direct access to the club. Wellness here is being built into the residence rather than sold as a nearby convenience.

Biski’s own account of the decision is direct: West Palm Beach, in her words, was calling out to the brand, with the right demographic already in place. Palm Beach County has spent five years absorbing wealth faster than its infrastructure could follow, and that gap is closing quickly.

More towers and tenants are still arriving in CityPlace, and this wellness-anchored model holds only for as long as demand keeps pace with a downtown core filling in fast. Visit Equinox here.
