RIMOWA has partnered with Swiss aluminium specialist Lehni on a limited-edition furniture collection that reframes a simple question: where does a suitcase belong when it’s not in transit? The answer, in this case, is not storage—but display.

The collaboration introduces two pieces—a bench and a drawer unit—both constructed from anodised aluminium in silver or black, finished with RIMOWA’s signature grooved grid pattern. Each is lined with scratch-resistant felt, designed to hold luggage as carefully as the luggage itself holds its contents. The bench accommodates two cabin-sized cases side by side, while the drawer unit adds concealed storage for smaller items, extending the concept from presentation to function.

The collection was unveiled during Fuorisalone in Milan, within a temporary installation on Via Achille Maiocchi that positioned the pieces within a broader cultural setting, including a postcard station and a curated book selection by Innen Publishing. The context underscored the intent: these are not accessories, but objects that sit somewhere between utility and design.

For Lehni—founded in Zürich in 1922 and still family-run in Dübendorf—this marks the first time its modular aluminium system has been adapted into a purpose-built format for luggage. For RIMOWA, it’s a natural extension of brand logic, treating the suitcase not as something to be hidden away, but as an object worth integrating into the living environment. Each piece is priced at €3,200 and available through RIMOWA’s global flagship network and online, with U.S. purchases handled directly via client services.
